People actually read this blog?
So, according to the comments I've been getting on the Exaile 0.3 roundup article, people actually read this blog. A lot of the comments have been questions or answers to previous questions in the comments, so, I've set up an email subscription system for blog comments. Everything is the same, except now you'll notice that there's an "email address" field on the comment form. Note that this field is completely optional. If you fill it in with your valid email address, you'll get an email anytime someone makes another comment on that article. In the email message, there will be a link to unsubscribe from the topic.

I really enjoy the open source world. I want to join the community as a programmer, but I have little experience and want to know where to start.

Can you help me?

@Matt Do you have little experience in programming in general, or with contributing to opensource projects?

If you have little experience programming, I'd start by learning a language. Pick a project, it doesn't matter what it is, and work on it. Start small, write yourself a dynamic webpage (a blog perhaps?). Don't start too small, in my opinion, you want to push yourself. If you pick something you have absolutely no idea how to do, not only will you learn how to do it, you'll know how to do it better the next time.

If you're talking about contributing to opensource projects, it really depends on the project. If you're considering helping with the Exaile project, please join our IRC channel and have a chat. irc.freenode.org / #exaile
