The Release Of Fallout 4 For PS5 And Xbox Series Consoles Has Been Postponed Until 2024
Dec-13-2023
Fourteen months earlier, Bethesda made the exciting announcement that Fallout 4 would be arriving on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles in 2023, with a free upgrade available for existing owners on previous-generation systems. My anticipation was dampened, however, by the lack of updates over the summer, and suspicions of a delay loomed larger after Bethesda offered a "no comment" in response to inquiries about the release date. It now seems that the delay is official.
Bethesda has recently confirmed that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions of Fallout 4 are postponed until some time in 2024. The news isn't altogether shocking, given that Bethesda Game Studios might prefer to keep the focus on their upcoming release, Starfield, and with the Amazon Fallout series set to premiere in April, it's plausible they'd want to avoid overlapping attention.
